Use Bookmarks to assign names to certain areas in text documents. These can then be used to define different output formats for data lines in the list. Enter column-specific formats such as font type and size, displayed references, table layout or tabs in lists. Define the bookmarks in the List on the Text document tab. Example: Format booked items such as drinks, food or service items line by line depending on their item group: Drinks left-aligned without quantity but with unit price, food centred without quantity, staff left-aligned with quantity, times and prices.
Open the list either by clicking on Configurations > Lists/Reports or by right-clicking on the list name in a Text template and selecting Open list. Example: the list "Booked items Quote 1"
In the list, go to the Text document tab.
Format the text and select an entire paragraph up to and including the paragraph marker () of the following line. Click on Show hidden characters in the toolbar to see the paragraph marker.
Click on Bookmark > Add selection and assign a speaking name.
Repeat the process for all the texts in this list. Note: For data lines without bookmarks, the entire text area with the exception of the header and footer will be used.
Click on Bookmark > "Name of bookmark" > Show text area to highlight all texts with this bookmark and verify if the formatting has been assigned correctly.
