Create a job for the automatic execution of the data backup (needs administrative permissions).
Go to the Configurations tab and select Jobs > New.
Enter a unique Name and, if applicable, a Title for the job.
Select "Data backup" as the job Type from the picklist.
Select "Quitting the database" as the Start time/condition to start the data backup automatically when you log out of Bp Event. Note: If the standalone installation is restarted several times a day, it is advisable to set up the data backup daily at a fixed time (outside the Bp event usage).
Enter the Target directory of the data backup.
Enter the Number of backups. Note: 3 backup sets are set by default. The fourth backup automatically overwrites the oldest/first backup.
Activate the job in the toolbar of the input window.
Save your input by clicking on the icon in the top left-hand corner of the input window. Note: Every Bp Event user is informed of a faulty data backup. A red bar indicating the last successful data backup is displayed on login.
Important: Make sure there is sufficient storage capacity on the target drive. The size of the database and therefore the required storage space can grow considerably over time. The minimum storage capacity can be calculated as follows:
Required free storage space = (number of backups + 1)* size of data file
